(12/11/2024) Time for dues for the 2024-2025 year (July - June).
Your dues help pay for the administrative costs of running the club and
hosting the events throughout the year, plus paying the main course,
drinks, and door prizes at the annual luncheon in December. Print out
the Membership Form and send in your dues TODAY! (or, bring to the next event). |
| (4/10/2023) - The Start Box for both events in Galveston is an Online Start Box (OSB), with electronic registration. There are no Physical Start Boxes (PSB). |
| (ALWAYS) Volunteers needed - This is your club and you are needed to help keep it running smoothly, including filling the various club officer positions. None of us are paid and a little bit of all of us is needed to complete all the varied tasks. In particular, one of the easiest and very important set of jobs is helping on the day of the events - such as manning a checkpoint or the Start/Finish. If you do better at a keyboard, assistant MailChimp email sender, assistant Web master, and assistant Face Book posters are needed. | (STANDING ITEM) It gets awfully hot in the summer, so the Houston Happy Hikers take a break from June - August. We start again in September. As always, you are invited to try some of our Year Round Events. Remember to stay hydrated and use suntan lotion and a hat! |
