ELIGIBILITY/TYPE OF EVENT:  Non-competitive, non-timed.  Walk, jog or run at your own pace.  It is open to all and families are encouraged to participate.  Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Everyone participating MUST register and carry a Start Card and turn it in at the FINISH.  This event normally will be held regardless of weather conditions.

STARTING POINT ADDRESS:  6213 Bayway Drive, Baytown TX

DIRECTIONS: 

Eastbound on I-10 from Houston:

Exit onto Spur 330 (Exit # 788).  Proceed 1/4 mi to Bayway Dr.

Exit Right to Bayway Dr.  At the intersection, Right onto Bayway Dr.  Continue about 2 miles to entrance to Baytown Nature Center on the Right.

Northbound on TX 146 from Clear Lake Area:

Proceed Northbound on TX 146 on the Hartman Bridge across the Houston Ship Channel, past the Business TX 146 exit (far right lane).  Continue 1/4 mi to the Missouri / W. Main exit.  Exit to Missouri St. (first intersection).  Left at Missouri St.  Continue to the "T" intersection with Oklahoma, then turn Right.  Continue on Oklahoma, then Left onto Wisconsin St at the stop sign.  Continue straight as Wisconsin becomes Bayway Dr. and proceed about 3 mi.  Left into Baytown Nature Center.

START and FINISH TIMES:  Start from 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; finish by 3:00 p.m..

DISTANCE:  10k/5k (6.2mi/3.1mi)  The route may be walked twice on the same Start Card for 20 km distance credit.

AWARD:  IVV credit event.

TRAIL DESCRIPTION:  Trail is rated 1A.  Wheel chairs or strollers may have some difficulty due to high street curbs.  Pets are not allowed.

REFRESHMENTS:  Water will be available at the Start/Finish and at the checkpoints.   

REGISTRATION & FEES:  No pre-registration. Walk registration is $3.00 for everyone.  Children under 12 are free if not walking for IVV credit.  IVV record books will be available for $6.00. Event takes place rain or shine.
