The Houston Heights calls itself "a diverse small town community in the heart of Houston where neighbors and businesses thrive, children learn and play, and history lives." We will be sampling this diversity. We will walk down the jogging trail in the middle of Heights Blvd, past the World War II Plaza (a really neat monument), past historic homes and their markers. Then along White Oak Bayou for over a mile to enjoy the open air then into the neighborhood of the heights to enjoy their homes, yards, and gardens.
ELIGIBILITY/TYPE OF EVENT: Non-competitive, non-timed. Walk, jog or run at your own pace. It is open to all and families are encouraged to participate. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone participating MUST register and carry a Start Card and turn it in at the FINISH. This event normally will be held regardless of weather conditions.
